The Mossberg 500 is a long-lived platform for good reason and this bantam with multiple barrels performs like the versatile option I desired. The adjustable length of pull is not a quick transition; but the minimum length of pull allows my wife & I to take turns shooting clays and I can shoot slugs with full length of pull.\r \r With the smooth bore barrel it is fun to shoot lots of 7-1/2 at clay pigeons. It's an "all afternoon of fun" gun for that.\r \r With the rifled barrel it will absolutely drive tacks with Hornaday SST sabot slugs. Remington AccuTip sabot slug are accurate enough out of it but not to the same level as the SST. It will wear you out quickly with either of them, which may be a good thing given the cost of those rounds. Know that since it is a pump shotgun, if you want to be accurate you must pretension the fore-stock to counter the torque induced by the round riding down the rifling.
