Description
Product Overview
The Magpul B.A.D. Lever, or Battery Assist Device, extends the AR15/M16 bolt catch with a paddle on the right side of the receiver. This lets the shooter manipulate the bolt stop with the right-hand trigger finger from the ready position, streamlining bolt catch access during reloading and malfunction clearance. Its design retains conventional bolt catch operation and supports use by both right- and left-handed shooters.

You can actuate it...
You can actuate it easily without putting your finger in the trigger guard. It is a minor pain in the rear to put onto the bolt release paddle. Crank it down onto the bolt release paddle and the only wobble will be because of the paddle wobbling in its little mount on its pin itself. If you are running a fixed magazine build, this, to me, is a necessity. It lets you check the chamber without juggling the rifle or awkwardly trying hold the bolt release down and release the charging handle. Just push on the BAD lever with your index finger and manipulate the charging handle with your support hand.
