TacFire’s SS-RK556 unassembled rifle build kit is designed for the AR-platform using a .223 Rem / 5.56x45mm NATO configuration. It includes a 16-inch nitride-treated M4-contour 5.56 NATO barrel, a 15-inch MLOK free-float handguard, and the required AR-15 lower components to complete a mil-spec lower build, along with compatible upper components for a 1:8 twist setup.

A: Charles, no this does not have serial numbers and does not require a background check. This is not a complete rifle, it's missing the lower receiver. The lower receiver is the part that's considered the actual firearm and is what would require a background check. Hope this helps.
