My son wanted to build a slug gun for deer hunting out of an old New Haven 2 ga pump we had. Found what we needed at bud's. Thos was the perfect barrel for our project and at a great price. The gun turned out great and the accuracy of the gun with this barrel was awesome. The first season he used it he scored a great 8 point buck.

This fits perfectly in...
This fits perfectly in my Mossberg 500 - and adds a dimension I really wanted. The rifling in this barrel will allow me to shoot slugs much more accurately than the smoothbore my shotgun came with. I haven't yet tested this particular barrel for accuracy, but past experience with other guns tells me that I'll get a more consistent shot placement with a barrel-mounted scope rail. My Mossberg 500 allows a scope to be mounted on the receiver, but that was never as accurate as I want. With a removable barrel (and the inevitable bit of slop between barrel and receiver), it's always better to have the scope mounted on the part where the projectile makes its exit.
