Pros: It's easy to...
Pros: It's easy to install, it fits, and it works. Solid construction. My original SKS gas piston fits just fine in it. Cons: Though the rail is removeable, your original wooden handguard will NOT fit on the gas tube. It also does NOT come with a piston if that's what you need. Although this product did not suit my purposes, it fits and it works, so I cannot give it below 5 stars. And what I mean by this, is that I specifically wanted the gas tube itself and not the rail as a replacement for my OG gas tube that's very rusted. While the rail is removeable, unfortunately, the only way to add a wooden handguard to it would be to either grind down the gas tube, or sand down your wooden handguard. In other words, your OG SKS wood handguard will NOT FIT on this product's gas tube. However, as stated before, it does fit my rifle, and it works just fine. If you are the type of person that wants to go tactical and modernize your SKS, then this product is definitely for you. It's solid, clean, and very nice. NcStar did a great job.

Solid construction...
Solid construction with a good finish. Prepare to file and sand down to fit though. I have been having quite the time fitting this to my type 56.
