The first stock I...
The first stock I received the grip compartment was difficult to open even using a tool, so ProMag sent me another with a call tag - awesome, except the second stock when folded the retaining hook and bar didn't mate up so the stock just fell open when turned to the side. I sent that one back with a note and kept the original intending to file some material out of the grip to make it fingernail operable. So ProMag reads my note and sends me another without a call tag this time, wow, what customer service, but when I go to drop my m30 tactical in, it doesn't fit. I have two stocks and both have the same problem. My Hogue is flat and the rifle sits on top like the Ruger stock, but this Promag is molded in the same shape and angle as the back of the chamber and the tolerances are off. When I sent the attached pics to ProMag, they didn't respond this time. I literally cannot shoehorn this thing on (I'd never get it back off) and so i guess I will have to take a dremel to it. Mini-30 owners be warned, it might be fine with the 14 but you are apparently millimeters longer.
