Item worked as specified, fit was perfect, and it was easy to install. Obviously, it would be nice if they made these in the colors they offer theor rifles in, but the already high cost on an item that really should be included in the box at the purchase of the rifle would increase.

I purchased the Ruger...
I purchased the Ruger American Rifle (Gen 2), in part, because I have a fondness for Ruger's ruggedness, but I also appreciated that with this rifle length of pull (LOP) could be adjusted with the LOP spacers. I have had other wood stocks shortened by gunsmiths, which improved the rifle's ergonomics but, clearly, that is pricey. Plus, if you wish another family member or friend to use your rifle, you can give them a LOP option, restoring it to your own preferences as you wish. A young shooter, or smaller statured individual, will benefit from this LOP spacing option. Also, in winter when wearing thicker garments LOP is functionally increased; having the option of seasonally changing LOP has its merits. Changing out the LOP spacing proved fairly easy and there are Ruger Tech Tips on YouTube that explain the steps. Check out the video before purchasing. I think the instructionals diagrams could be a bit better and although I initially thought the engineering seemed inelegant, once tightened down he butt seems quite secure and Ruger robust. The photo shows the LOP shortened to 12.75". The riser was adjusted upward as well. The product was delivered within a reasonable time frame and although the packaging seemd a bit light, everything arrived in great condition. I would recommend this product and Bud's Gun Shop.
