SB Tactical BREN201SB BREN2 Stabilizing Brace Black

I hate to say it, but...

I hate to say it, but this brace kinda sucks. In particular, I have three major complaints against it: (1) The little slider that you depress to remove it from the gun is incredibly flimsy. It's way worse than so-called "airsoft quality." (2) The installation instructions said nothing about having to replace the metal plate on the back of the gun with SB's own plastic plate. Fortunately, the alternate plate does come in the box with the brace, but the instructions said nothing about the purpose of the extra plate. I was very confused as to why the brace wasn't fitting until I realized that the plate that the Bren 2 comes with is too big for the brace, and then I was able to figure out that the random piece of plastic that SB included in the box actually had a purpose. Some of that is on me, obviously, for not putting two and two together as it were, but it would be nice if the instructions had said something about it. (3) Lastly, the brace doesn't fold flat. The designers clearly forgot to account for the gun's case deflector, and thus the brace sticks out from the gun a bit when in its folded configuration. The designers either should have made a small divot for the case deflector to fit into the brace, or they should have made the brace left-folding instead of right-folding. The whole point of having a folding brace is to save space, not require more space. As it is now, the folded configuration of the gun is about 4 inches thick (excluding the charging handle)--that's not exactly ideal. All that being said, it gets the job done. It could definitely be improved, but it is a functional brace.
