The Ed Brown machined ambidextrous wide thumb safety for 1911 type frames features a large pad for fast, confident safety engagement from either side. Built as a fully machined steel part to resist issues associated with inferior cast components, it’s designed to install with minor gunsmith fitting for reliable, safe operation. A special hammer pin is included to secure the safety without requiring grip modifications.
