This is a great lower receiver... One i have wanted for a while 17 design receiver are a nice affordable billet receiver... look forward to a complete build with this lower receiver ....

Innovative and...
Innovative and convenient. Well constructed and finished well. I found no machine or tool markings and the flat-black finish was nearly perfect. The price point makes it a no brainer for anyone needing needing a folding option. The steel inserts are a wise edition to an aluminum part that will see a lot of ware Now the cons: Everything in the folding aspect of this lower is proprietary and I'm concerned that parts may not be readily available in the future. I would recommend keeping detailed specs on the small parts should they need to be reproduced. As expected, the lock up to an upper is not as tight as it should be. There is significant slop and rattle. I found this to be true with multiple upper receivers. The supplied tension screw was not of much value on the uppers I tested. I was able to offset this using an AccuWedge although I think using steel shims would be a more appropriate solution IF needed. I would suggest checking the fit on multiple uppers before making any alterations or additions. I also found the retaining nut for the hinge bolt to be misalined. It does not affect the function but I fear it may cause premature wear with repeated use if not corrected. This was easily reseated in seconds. It should be noted that in the locked position the folder is rock solid with no play whatsoever. The supplied extended buffer is heavier than mill spec and may prove problematic depending upon the application as it is not adjustable. All things considered: I am happy with his purchase and I will purchase another at this price point. This will work perfectly for my intended use. I purchased this lower with the extended warranty which I also recommend
