The finished install...
The finished install looks great, looks factory and sits as flush as it can when you aren't using a sling. Have a good grip on the nut and be sure to tighten it fully so the tangs dig into and grip the stock. Make sure the sling/QD's you intend to use have a strong connection when installing and will stay attached even when pulling and twisting. I had a cheaper QD that would detach if rotated too hard. Found another one in my bin that works and holds tight. The OD of the exposed external flange is 11/16" and is about 1/32" thick The OD of the threads is 1/2" Overall height/depth is 3/8" The Nut will need a 5/8" wrench.
