Product Overview
Wilson Combat 429SG is a drop-in beavertail grip safety made for the 1911 Government platform. It replaces stock grip safety geometry to help improve control and reduce discomfort, including hammer-bite, while maintaining dependable safety function.
Key Features
- Steel construction for durable everyday use
- Designed to help improve grip consistency and control during handling
- Drop-in beavertail grip safety for the 1911 Government frame pattern
- May require minor fitting at the trigger engagement area for proper operation due to pistol-to-pistol variation
- Helps eliminate discomfort and hammer bite associated with some factory grip safeties
- Works with a commander-style hammer or a bobbed spur hammer
If you want a more comfortable 1911 grip safety setup with a modern beavertail feel, the Wilson Combat 429SG is a straightforward upgrade backstopped by the ability to return to the factory part.
