The Brownells BRN-16A1 complete upper receiver is built in the spirit of the issued U.S. M16A1, with period-correct external features. This configuration uses a 20 inch 5.56x45mm NATO barrel with a 1-12 twist, chrome bore and chrome chamber, and an A1 flash hider secured with the correct split washer arrangement. The upper includes the M16A1-style ejection port cover and A1 rear sight system, along with an A1-pattern forward assist and non-F-marked front sight base for the classic M16A1 look.
