A: No, a Bianchi 5BHL Thumbsnap holster built for a Ruger Redhawk will not fit a Smith & Wesson Model 617 properly. There is a frame size difference that keeps the S&W 617 from fitting properly. For the Smith & Wesson 617: You need a Bianchi 5BHL holster sized specifically for a S&W K-Frame (such as a 4" or 6" K-frame size depending on your Model 617 barrel length).

A: Hi Karl and welcome. Yes, this is the 5BHLand will fit the 617 frame no issue. https://tlooutdoors.com/products/bianchi-10277-5bhl-thumbsnap-owb-size-05-tan-leather-belt-loop-fits-s-w-k-frame-taurus-415t-2-2-25-barrel-right-hand -------- Cheers and stay safe!
