A: Brandon, No this magazine is not G3 compatible.

A: I would NOT make cuts in your slide, you could damage your firearm and make it unsafe or tender it useless. The factory sig p226, P228, mecgar p226, and G3 mags will all work, you should never make permanent modifications to your firearm, unless your a competent gun smith. These are in stock https://www.mec-gar.com/pistol-magazines/Sig-Sauer/SIG-SAUER-P226-X5 ------- So are these https://www.mec-gar.com/pistol-magazines/Sig-Sauer/SIG-SAUER-P228-18-High-Cap So are these, (the G3 factory magazines) https://www.shoptaurus.com/taurus-magazine-g3-9mm-15-rds-358-0021-00
