Waited for it to go on sale and have been very happy with this pistol. Needed to add a thread adapter to use my suppressor as the barrel is flush but works great with the little adapter. Keep it clean and it runs all types of ammo fine. Got a few extra mags which all fit well and feed fine. Great 1911 starter gun and the wife loves shooting it. Basically no recoil and very accurate.

Awesome gun to plink...
Awesome gun to plink and train with. Looks and feels just like a 1911 .45. There's hardly any recoil for those younger or recoil sensitive shooters. Rock solid gun and can't go wrong with it. Just use HV ammo unless you swap out recoil spring.

I love the GSG 1911...
I love the GSG 1911 22lr. I own three different ones. All have threaded barrels, except for the California one. They feel just like a 45 ACP or a 9mm 1911. They shoot well and have very few feed issues as long as the ammo you are using is over 1200fps. The magazines are a little expensive because they don't make any aftermarket ones for them. But the magazines are steel and very well made. Just about everything made in Germany is a solid product. I would definitely recommend getting one.
