This gun is stunning...
This gun is stunning in appearance. The surfaces are well machined, and it has a very smooth action. The hardening gives the metal an extremely smooth feel, unlike anything I've every felt on a gun. Certainly a feeling of steel, but more like a very hard knife blade. It has a strange reaction to oil, almost repellent of it, also unlike anything I've ever seen....kind of like how water reacts to a waxed car. It was a little tight on the disassembly and assembly, but all parts fit well. For me (farsighted) the sights were a little fuzzy. The front sight is serrated, and I put a little bronze paint on the front sighting surface. Worked perfectly and does not detract from the appearance at all. Has a smooth feel in the hand. I've not yet shot it.

This has been a dream...
This has been a dream gun for a long time. Prior times I saw a color case hardened 1911 and thought "I'll pick one up later" and then the manufacturer would either stop making them, or continue to charge 3k plus for them. This pistol does NOT disappoint! reliably fed from round one using ball and HP, dead nuts accurate. As for the purchasing experience, Buds did great as always!
