Exactly what I was...
Exactly what I was looking for. My only concern was the "series 80" FPS. With the use of a shim from Brownells those parts have been removed. I don't carry a round in the chamber and thus do not worry about a drop discharge. Slide/frame fit is very good. Have only fired a few rounds but no problems. Good value and now I can semi-retire my WW2 Ithaca.

I've wanted a WWII...
I've wanted a WWII 1911 for a long time but I didn't want to pay the price for a genuine article in good condition. This was the next best option and for the price I'm really happy with it. Initially it needed a little break-in and a few good cleanings but now it feels and shoots like a champ. Few hundred rounds in and zero malfunctions. Also bought some original plastic grips for it to give it an even more authentic look.
