Was very disappointed...
Was very disappointed when I picked up from my FFL. Not the firearm advertised in the picture. Lower receiver has a bronze sheen to it and the thumb safety isn't the GI thumb safety along being a bronze color. I was looking for a GI spec 1911A1 and was very let down that this wasn't it.

Did my homework on this, wanted as close as I could get to a GOV issued 1911. Read many articles & reviews comparing the market comparables to the AO and the AO came out on top every time. Will I get a surplus 1911 someday for a display case? Maybe, but I'll be shooting this one! Need a few more mags & a sweet leather US GI holster & we'll be all set.
