Bought this PICO...
Bought this PICO Nov.25, 2015. I should have researched the product better. Hickok .45 liked it and said it shot great and that was good enough for me. I forgot Hickok .45 is 6'8" and probably 10 years younger than me. Bud's shipped the gun in their normal good time and I was thrilled with the fit and finish and everything that makes a Beretta a Beretta. I should have paid more attention to the stiff action and horrible trigger pull. I didn't get around to shooting the gun until early May and it was awful. I have issues with my age and arthritis and I could not rack the gun without pressing it firmly into my abdomen (not a safe practice no matter how good you are at keeping your finger out of the trigger guard) but that was it. Shooting was ok, as long as I didn't run out of loaded replacement mags as the gun shoots very well until you need to rack another round into it. I called Beretta and explained my problem and they said "You're in luck, we have and upgrade that will take care of it." I said fine, tell me where and how to manage this obvious safety problem and they told me to go to UPS or FEDEX and ship it to us at your expense and we'll ship it back when we're done. They told me this was an optional update and if I wanted it done I'd have to pay to ship it in. Don't know how Beretta got to be a 500 year old company with customer service like that. Oh, well. So much for the PX4 Storm subcompact I had planned for my next purchase. IF they fix the racking and hard trigger pull problems for the $40 bucks it will cost to ship it in, I guess it's worth it, but It makes me question why I've ever bought a Berettta. Just an addendum to the Review I wrote on my Beretta PICO. Bud's called this morning and sent a Mailing Label to pay for UPS shipment of my PICO back to Beretta for the required upgrade. I checked out an updated PICO at my big box store and the update does make a world of difference so I'll be semi-happy with Beretta again and VERY HAPPY with BUD'S, as usual.
