The Bersa 1911 Commander is a steel-frame, single-action pistol chambered in .45 ACP and configured with a 4.25-inch barrel. Its Commander-length profile balances the handling of a shorter pistol with the familiar controls and ergonomics of the 1911 platform. Novak-style rear and dovetail front sights provide a practical sight picture, while the beavertail grip safety and extended thumb safety support secure, deliberate operation. Checkered hardwood grips, a combat hammer and trigger, an extended slide stop, rear slide serrations, and a flared ejection port complete its classic fighting-pistol configuration.

Very pleased with this...
Very pleased with this handgun in fit, function and aesthetics. The slide sides are slightly polished, the slide top is anti-glare. The only hollow points I had laying around for 45 acp were Winchester silver tips and there were no stoppages, period, and neither will ball ammo. Came with one blued magazine in a nice hard plastic case. Finding a couple additional of the slightly shorter, nickel plated 7 rounder magazines with bump pad was not a problem. Love being able to holster/re-holster using a kydex holster without seeing the finish wear off like my typical blued handguns.
