The pistol features a satin stainless steel slide, a corrosion-resistant 4.25-inch barrel, and a durable composite frame with machined aluminum sub-frame and slide rails. A beavertail grip safety, ambidextrous extended manual safety, commander-style hammer, and extended slide release provide familiar 1911 operation. Composite grips, a checkered front strap, flat mainspring housing, integral accessory rail, and steel three-dot combat sights complete the practical configuration.

I recently purchased...
I recently purchased this gun and I'm really pleased. I'm a partial amputee of three fingers on my right hand including my trigger finger it's amputated at the knuckle behind the finger tip which really restricts my options of guns. I recently found out about this model and after handling one I can reach the trigger without any adaptive devices. I never thought that an almost full sized frame would be an option. I had resigned myself to only being able to shoot my Sig p238 carry gun (again without any adaptive device) So I can gladly recommend this Browning to anyone and especially anyone with certain disabilities! It shoots great very little recoil and it's well balanced!
