Picked it up from my FFL and it was in excellent condition; I performed a visual inspection and functional check prior to accepting it. Fired 120 rounds of TulAmmo--worked flawlessly; no jams, FTF, or stove pipes. I'm very impressed with Bud's process to acquire a firearm online and I will definitely give them another opportunity to earn my business in the future. thanks for great service buds. this gun is a fine machine, runs great w/tullammo. front sight is partly obscured by top rail but no matter because im going to a laser. only fired about 150rds so far w/no fails at all. fast and smooth, great workmanship.

This is my first AK...
This is my first AK purchase and also my first Bud's purchase. Like just about everyone else said, I couldn't be happier! Bud's customer service is awesome. I agree with all of the other positive comments made about this rock solid firearm. I love this gun, think its one of my best gun choices ever and will never sell it! But...three other things to consider are that 1) THIS GUN IS NOTICEABLY HEAVIER than traditional stamped receiver AK pistols. Obviously that helps mitigate recoil and is the minor downside to a milled receiver. But for those fantasizing about stealthily and comfortably lugging this thing around, think again. It feels more like carrying a rifle. 2) SIGHTS ARE HORRIBLE: sight picture is too narrow with black on black front/rear sights that can only be seen in well-lit conditions (you MUST add white paint to the front). I dont know how easy it would be to replace them but a red dot optic would be a huge advantage. 3) ERGONOMICS ARE AWKWARD, at least on the front handguard. Rail set ups are typically less comfortable than wooden ones but this one just takes a lot of getting used to. Trust me: buy an angled fore grip, NOT just a hand stop! Fortunately, all of these issues can be addressed with added accessories that everyone who buys this gun plans on getting anyway. So buy this gun with confidence and a well rounded outlook on what to expect.
