I have been watching...
I have been watching the old TV show from my childhood "Wanted: Dead or Alive" starring Steve McQueen lately. I always thought that the firearm that he carried, a Mare's Leg, was the coolest ever. So much so, that I decide to purchase one to add to my "Western" collection. I looked around at several different manufacturers and decided that the Chiappa was the one that most resembled the one from the TV show so I ordered it from Bud's. When it arrived at my local FFL gun shop, I went to pick it up immediately. I need to say that I am retired and have lots of time on my hands. Anyway, when the clerk handed me the box, I opened it up and was surely not disappointed. It looked better than what I expected. Beautiful! Authentic! When I returned home, I inspected it much closer and was completely satisfied with my purchase. I looks wonderful in its display case which will be its main purpose in life. While I haven't shot it yet, I will do so at some point, but as stated, I bought it mainly for the nostalgia of it. I have several other firearms that I regularly shoot. This one is is mainly for private display in my locked gun room.
