Upon first inspection...
Upon first inspection after unboxing the pistol, I noticed right away that something was seriously wrong with the firing mechanism. The cocking piece wouldn't lock into place 90% of the time. When it finally would, any movement or bump would drop the firing pin without touching the trigger. Also, the bolt handle did not lock closed with cocking piece locked back. Any slight touch of the bolt handle would drop the firing pin also, without touching the trigger. The pistol I received was nothing but an accidental discharge waiting to happen. Horribly unsafe. I was really surprised to receive a new firearm in unsafe mechanical condition. After completely disassembling the pistol, I realized the reason that the cocking piece was not locking back properly was because the stock inlet around the bolt handle was cut too shallow. This was not allowing the bolt to fully close, which prevented the cocking piece from fully engaging & locking. I took a dremel to the bolt handle inlet on the grip & removed 1/8" of material, & that solved the accidental discharge problem. The pistol functions as it should now, the bolt fully closes, & with the cocking piece locked back, the bolt doesn't open & the firing pin doesn't drop. Accuracy is good, but given the fact I received this pistol in unsafe working condition, it's only a 1 star since I can't pick 0. I contacted the manufacturer regarding the issue, & I never got a response. I wanted to love it & buy the 22LR one next, but I won't be buying another KSA product.

This is a very fun gopher gun. I use a high power scope and it reaches way out like a rifle from bags. Gave it a cheap trigger job and it's very accurate
