What a fantastic pistol. I have been a fan of 5.7x28 for years and started off with the AR57 pistol/rifles which use the top loading magazines from the FN P90. Unfortunately, I could never get the AR57 to feed reliably when it got even slightly dirty. Which it did when I began loading my own subsonic rounds and using my Gemtech 57 suppressor. So I gave up on it for a while. Then CMMG came out with the Banshee Mk57 using, not the top loading mags from the P90, but the standard magazines for the FN57 pistol. And they did it right. I now have about 1000 rounds through my Banshee Mk57 of both factory FN rounds, American Eagle, Elite Ammo and many of my own subsonic handloads. It has fed them all with nary a hitch. Suppressed, unsuppressed, doesn't matter. That radial delayed blowback system of theirs is magic. I have the CMMG in an identical format, but chambered in 45 ACP, and it's the same story. Virtually perfect feeding, ejection and accuracy. I really like the Banshee line with the radial delayed system. It just works and avoids the need for a super heavy bolt making the banshee pleasantly light weight. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best platform for the 5.7x28 currently available. Much better than the actual FN P90 because it costs less, weighs less, uses a more reliable magazine, can be had in pistol or rifle form, comes in more colors/finishes and runs cleaner. If you like the 5.7 round, this is your platform.
