I recently purchased a "Shooter's Model" Colt 1911 Royal Blue listed as having a blemish "very hard to see except to the well-trained eye or with a magnifier." I understood I was buying a blem and had no issue with that. However, the scuffing and nicks on the pistol are clearly visible at normal viewing distance and much more pronounced than the description suggested. Bud's was polite in communication, but ultimately advised there was nothing they could do after the transfer. If you're considering a Shooter's Model or blem firearm here, just be aware that the condition may be more noticeable than the wording implies, and don't buy expecting a blemish "very hard to see except to the well-trained eye or with a magnifier." Caveat emptor.
