Its five-inch blued steel barrel and steel frame provide the familiar proportions and handling characteristics of the classic 1911 platform. What can I say??? It's a Colt! Pictures do not do it justice. It is a beautiful handgun with much attention to detail. Finish is outstanding! It's actually much nicer than I anticipated and will probably spend most of its time as a safe queen. Not that it's a bad thing. I changed to much nicer grips and it now presents as a true collectable.
