Product Overview
The Colt 1991 Lightweight Government is a classic 1911-pattern semi-automatic pistol descended from the original Colt 1991A1. Its five-inch carbon steel slide is finished in blue and paired with a black anodized aluminum receiver, reducing weight while preserving the full-size Government configuration. The .45 ACP pistol uses a seven-round magazine and includes a manual thumb safety, grip safety, beveled magazine well, fixed three-dot sights, and Double Diamond slim-fit wood grips.
Key Features
- Full-size five-inch Government configuration for a familiar 1911 shooting platform
- Lightweight black anodized aluminum frame reduces carry weight
- Blue carbon steel slide provides a traditional Colt finish
- Chambered in .45 ACP with 7+1 capacity
- Manual thumb safety and grip safety support controlled handling
- Fixed three-dot sights provide a clear, practical sight picture
The Colt 1991 Lightweight Government combines traditional 1911 handling with a lighter aluminum frame and classic Colt styling.
