It features a National Match 5 in barrel, fully blended magwell, and competition-ready sighting with a red fiber optic front sight and an adjustable Bomar-style rear. VZ G10 Black Operator grips complete a clean, durable stainless build.

What can I say? This gun is just so beautiful. Immediately you can see it is built from scratch for competitive shooting. No modifications what so ever needed to this gun. Spot on right out of the box. A definitive collectors firearm. I thought it was so beautiful the moment I took it out of the box. This will be a life long collectors piece for me.

Received the gun today...
Received the gun today from Bud's. The gun exceeded ALL my expectations. Usually when I receive a gun, I usually have to make adjustments to the Slide to Barrel fit, Barrel to Bushing fit, Sear to Hammer polish, Sear Spring adjustments, and other areas of the gun to make the gun as tight and accurate as possible. The only gun's I rarely have to make adjustments to were my Wilson Combat's, Nighthawk's and Les Baer's. I figured that I would have to Peen (Hammer) the receiver to tighten the Slide to Receiver fit. But I was very surprised to find the fit absolutely tight. Not to mention the Barrel bushing to Side fit as well as Barrel fit were exceptionally tight also, and the trigger broke like glass at an out of the box of 4lb 3oz.. The last gun I bought from Colt last week was the Gold Cup Trophy and I had to make multiple adjustments to the gun to bring it to acceptable levels. So, when I bought this gun. I assumed like most Colts, I'd have to make multiple adjustments to bring the gun into acceptable spec's. But for the first time I have ever owned a Colt 1911 I absolutely did NOT have to make any adjustments or fixes. I know it costs twice as much as the new Colt 1911 Gold Cup Trophy, but you get a TRUE Custom Shop Colt gun that absolutely requires nothing be done, and it rivals the Wilson's, Nighthawk's and Les Baer's in quality and accuracy! If you are on the Fence to buy this gun or not. BUY IT!!!
