Product Overview
The Colt Series 70 Government is a Custom Shop reproduction of the classic full-size 1911, chambered in .45 ACP and built with a stainless steel slide and receiver. Its 5-inch National Match barrel supports consistent accuracy, while the bead-blast finish provides a subdued, durable appearance. Night sights improve visibility in low-light conditions. Traditional Series 70 internals, a tuned single-action trigger, spurred hammer, upswept grip safety, and single-side tactical thumb safety retain the familiar 1911 operating system. Black laminate G10 grips, a checkered trigger guard, full beveled magazine well, lowered and flared ejection port, and dehorned edges complete the Custom Shop configuration.

Would not recommend....
Would not recommend. Slide to frame fit was decent for a Colt, although loose for this price range. Trigger was loosely fit, and the grip safety rattled as well. After I took transfer of the gun from my FFL, I discovered that there was absolutely ZERO extractor tension out of the box from the factory. Had to replace the extractor with a Wilson Combat one to get the gun to function, and even then I was still getting failure to feeds. Although it's an absolutely beautiful 1911, it gets low marks for not functioning out of the box. The gun was traded within a few weeks.

Incredible piece. Well worth every penny. stainless steel is gorgeous, very well balanced and action is exceptionally smooth and tight. Comes in Colts blue hardshell case, with two SS colt mags.

Not worth the money....
Not worth the money. Worth 1,200. Negatives -Trigger is loose, thumb safety has a slight bounce, mag release can be moved moved left to right when mag is out, grips are sharp. Pros- national match barrel(not bushing) lowered ejection port, all black rear sight, series 70, checkered front strap is well done I will keep it and spend more upgrading the cheaper small parts. I would buy a ruger and a Springfield or the Dan Wesson Valor.
