First, service from Bud's was flawless. This gun is just freaking gorgeous. Fit & finish is virtually perfect. The bluing is deep, dark and even. The case colors are vivid, and the walnut grips full of character. The gun is lighter than I expected, much lighter than a comparably sized magnum. The 4 click cocking mechanism sounds awesome, and the trigger is light and smooth. I bought mine as a shooter, and man does it shoot! It handles the weak cowboy loads effortlessly. What surprised me was how well it handled full power loads like the Hornady FTX and the Buffalo Bore 250 grain Keith bullet. Even with these powerful loads the recoil was easily manageable and accuracy was outstanding. I would not hesitate to take this gun into the bear woods. The only negative was that I did have to send the gun back to Colt because the adjustable sight ran out of adjustment with the gun still shooting 2-3" left at 10 yards. Colt handled the repair promptly and professionally, and upon return I was able to sight in no problem. I've always wanted a Colt SAA, and this one is just beautiful in every way, absolutely no buyer's remorse here.
