The Colt Wiley Clapp Commander is a TALO exclusive 1911-style pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Its lightweight aluminum alloy receiver helps make this Commander easier to carry, while the stainless finish provides a durable factory presentation. The Series 70-style action omits a firing pin safety and is tuned with an improved trigger pull. A beavertail grip safety, original-style controls, front and rear slide serrations, a flat mainspring housing, and a long black trigger complete the practical defensive configuration. Special Novak-style sights use an extra-wide rear notch and front bead to support fast sight acquisition in varied lighting. Tactical Oval grips with forward taper and fingerprint checkering complement the 25 lines per inch front-strap checkering.
