The CZ 85 Combat is a CZ 75 pattern, hammer-fired 9mm pistol built for fast, consistent handling and precise sight alignment. It features a fully adjustable rear sight, an extended magazine release, and an overtravel adjustment on the trigger for a competition-friendly feel. The Combat designation also refers to the absence of a firing pin block safety, allowing the firing pin to be replaced without tools. Ambidextrous controls include reversible magazine release and ambidextrous levers for user-friendly operation.

Solid, reliable, very...
Solid, reliable, very accurate, low maintenance, reasonable cost, generous features, good aftermarket for holsters/grips/sights/etc & trigger can be highly tuned to your preference with aftermarket components if you desire. Hard to find anything bad to say, for carry you might prefer the weight of a plastic gun to an all steel gun.

I haven't shot this a lot as it was a gift to my nephew. He really likes it. Were I going to shoot in competition I would buy myself one. We have a couple thousand rounds down the pipe and has yet to malfunction. My nephew loves the trigger right out of the box. If it were mine I would put a longer firing pin in and weaker hammer spring. I doubt I would spend the money on new hammer, sear, and trigger that I do on some CZ's. Not having the firing pin safety makes a real difference in both the double and Single action trigger pull. I really despise anything but really good triggers and now that I am too old and blind to get much use from them I can finally afford them.. The CZ-85C is slightly heavy (all steel) soft shooting 9mm. It may not be quite as accurate as the CZ-75 P-09 bur sure feels better in my hand. Anyone would be hard pressed to find a better 5 inch D/A 9mm Semi Auto that works great right out the box.
