The Dan Wesson CCO is a concealed-carry 1911 that pairs a Commander-length slide with a compact Officer-size frame. Chambered in .45 ACP, it offers a 7+1 capacity in a slim single-stack profile. Its anodized aluminum frame and mainspring housing help reduce carry weight, while the bobbed mainspring housing and undercut trigger guard improve concealment and handling. A medium-length trigger, stippled polymer grips, and chain-link treatment on the front strap and mainspring housing provide a secure, controllable grip. Dual-color tritium night sights with a white front target ring support rapid sight acquisition in low-light conditions, and the Blue/Black finish gives the pistol a subdued appearance.

I had wanted to own a...
I had wanted to own a 1911 for many years. When I decided to purchase one I spent several months looking at different manufacturers, styles, finishes, etc. I originally thought I would be purchasing a Kimber, but after reading a number of reviews realized that I would have to spend additional money with a gunsmith to "tune" the Kimber to where I would really like it. After reading reviews about the Dan Wesson 1911's I realized that even though they were slightly more expensive than the Kimber's that the price difference was worth it because they're already "tuned" coming out of the box. Looking at styles the commander-style slide with the 4.25" barrel with the officer-style grip on the CCO appealed to me because I intended this pistol to be my EDC gun. I was not disappointed. I absolutely love my CCO. It fits together very tightly (not too tight) and the trigger is the best I've ever experienced in any handgun, semi or revolver. The only change I make to my CCO was to have the original thumb safety replaced with an ambidextrous safety (I'm left-handed). I sent it to Dan Wesson to have it done; it took 2-3 months for them to turn it around but was well worth it.

I received this 1911...
I received this 1911 on Friday and took it to the range on Saturday I'm very impressed with it! I put 50 rounds though it with no problems, and very good accuracy. The frame is lightweight and this makes it an excellent choice for concealed carry. I very highly recommend!!
