The Dan Wesson Commander Classic Bobtail is a Commander-sized 1911 built around a 4.25-inch forged match-grade barrel and stainless steel frame and slide. Its Series 70 style action delivers a crisp single-action trigger, while the bobtail mainspring housing reduces the profile at the rear of the grip for a more comfortable carry experience. Fixed 3-dot tritium night sights provide a clear aiming reference in low-light conditions. Premium components include an Ed Brown memory-groove grip safety, extended tactical thumb safety, match hammer and sear, aluminum trigger, beveled magazine well, lowered and flared ejection port, and tuned internal extractor. Diamond-checkered cocobolo grips, a 20 LPI checkered front strap, hand-dehorned edges, and contrasting polished and bead-blasted stainless surfaces complete the classic presentation.

Learned about Bud's through Hickock45 on YouTube. The Dan Wesson 45 Classic was my first purchase from Buds. I was very pleased with the service from Buds and will be buying more firearms from them. As far as the DW classic goes I have close to 1000 rounds through it from many different Brands and types of ammunition including my reloads from mild to wild with only one mishap, it failed to strip the last round at about the 50 round mark on its maiden voyage,...turns out it was one of my old Kimber magazines. Couldn't be happier with the DW or with Buds. Wayne.
