I have 10 Dan Wessons...
I have 10 Dan Wessons but other than my VBob never had a Valor. I had always lusted after the Stainless Valor but when I read about the Blue, I had to wait until it was available. It is a real beauty with a deep blue finish as nice as my Les Baer. Fit is typical D.W. tight but not overly so, I can take off the beautiful blue barrel bushing by hand, snug but not so much that I need a wrench to get it off. The weight makes recoil minimal and it is very accurate. Two slight negatives to me because I think guns are to shoot. One, the finish is so nice and polished on the flats that greasy finger prints and smudges really show and I am constantly wiping them off. Two, Dan Wesson puts Slim Grips on a lot of their pistols and this is one of them.This pistol needs standard grips in my opinion, so I have had to replace the bushings, screws and Grips and since this pistol has such a classic look it should wear nice wood grips, not VZ's. I would have prefered the walnut grips like came on my A2 Government and A2 Commander. But that is just my personal opinion. As I said, the gun is a beauty and a shooter but will end up spending more time in the safe than I like because of the finish being so nice and I will probably end up getting the Stainless Valor to be my shooter.
