Description
Product Overview
The European American Armory Girsan MC1911 C is a carry-sized 10mm 1911-style pistol built on a steel machined frame with a matte gray finish and black slide. Its 4.40-inch barrel balances practical handling with the substantial performance of the 10mm Auto cartridge. Fiber optic front and adjustable rear sights provide a clear aiming reference, while deep slide serrations support confident manipulation. An integral Picatinny rail accommodates compatible accessories, and the extended beavertail, ambidextrous thumb safety, and grip safety retain familiar 1911 handling characteristics. The skeletonized trigger is specified with a crisp 3.5 to 4 pound pull, and black textured polymer grips provide a secure hold.

I just got it back...
I just got it back from the range where I fired 200 rounds. No problems with feeding. The sites were initially set about 6 inches low and I had to adjust them. It groups well and was easy to adjust. Recoil felt identical to standard commander sized 45acp's recoil. The trigger was nice, a tad heavy, but I haven't fired enough to break it in. Don't anticipate any need to adjust or switch. It's a 1911 style steel frame, it is heavier than the modern polymer guns for those concerned about weight, but handles very well. I think consider it fine for everyday carry. If a few extra ounces stress you a 1911 probably isn't the platform you're looking for. My only complaint was a personnel choice, I don't see the red fiber optic well and will switch over to green. I doubt this would be of concern to most shooters but if the red isn't ideal for your vision it's easy to replace with multiple color options available. Definitely glad to have it!
