Mine arrived to the...
Mine arrived to the FFL in two days. It seems well made and of good quality. Its a 15 1 even though the manual says it a 9 1. It comes in a small plastic box just big enough to hold it and only has 1 mag in total. It ship's smothered in storage oil. And because of that oil I missed one bad spot on the slide in the wonder finish wile picking it up. I don't know what the wonder finish is But time will tell if that bad spot gets worse - 1 star. Everywhere else the finish looks good and the coating looks like stainless steel . It shoots great mostly dropping brass at your feet with one odd piece at my face .Only shot a few mags so far due to bad weather, but FMJ, HPs, and frangible SWCs all functioned 100% and I had no malfunctions of any kind. The sights are windage adjustable but not adjustable for elevation.My elevation was spot on with all loads tested and slightly off windage out of the box. Trigger in double action is as long and hard as a bad day at work, But the single action pull is good at about 4.5lb (guesstimated). I an a trigger snob and could feel just a hint of creep before it broke. Not bad but not quite 100%. The grips are cheep feeling and fit only fair. I will replace these. Group sizes off hand slow fire in a high wind were aprox 1.5 inches at 10 yd. That's not a fair representation of accuracy but it did act like it wanted to shoot well and I think it will .Its heavy as its all steel. The slide runs on the inside of the frame and gives a low bore axis. But also gives less room to grab the slide. A light carry gun its not, but as a house or range gun It works nicely. A big heavy solid well built all steel gun. I would buy it again. Note:I have read the 2018 year produced guns have a different grip screw placement than 2017 and older guns. The year is marked on the frame above the grip.

The Witness Steel in...
The Witness Steel in 40/10mm is an excellent gun. Right out of the box this is the most accurate pistol I have ever shot, tight groups with minimal effort. The trigger is crisp and reset short. Action is fluid and smooth. But there is a slight flaw and a major benefit. The flaw is that this pistol weighs 37 oz's, when every single spec I can find says it weighs 33oz's. So it is a hefty gun, and if you're a hunter and backpacker like me, thats a big deal. The benefit to this heavy weight is this 40 caliber witness is also a 10mm witness, and a 9mm. Yup, I called Witness, talked to their gun smith(great service) and he said that all of the steel witness frames and slides had the same breech face and magwell size. So i bought a 10mm barrel and spring and and a 10mm magazine and it all fits like a glove. the conversion takes 30 seconds and runs like a typewriter. So, the heavier weight comes in handy for shooting heavy 10mm loads. I am very satisfied with this gun.
