The FN FNP-40 is a polymer-framed semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W. Its double-action and single-action operating system provides a longer initial trigger pull followed by shorter, lighter subsequent pulls. The four-inch barrel and 14+1 capacity balance practical carry dimensions with useful ammunition capacity. A black polymer frame, three-dot sights, and ambidextrous manual safety and decocker controls complete the standard configuration.

Have the FNP-40. No...
Have the FNP-40. No safety but has decocker. This is a fine firearm by a huge name in the industry. Herstal owns Browning and Winchester. It makes and markets primarily to law enforcement and the military under the FN Herstal name. This pistol shoots accurate and has low recoil. Breakdown is very easy leaving only the slide, spring, and the polycarbonite frame when fully broke down. My first shot at 10 yards took out the center of the "x" in the one inch oblong circle on my paper target. Unloading into torso siloutte at 25 yards was no problem. This gun is easy to rapid fire as the recoil in very controllable and the SA 3.5lbs trigger pull. I would highly recommend this gun to anyone thats in the market for an autoloading pistol.
