The FN FNS-40 is a striker-fired, semi-automatic service pistol chambered in .40 S&W and configured with a 4-inch hammer-forged stainless steel barrel. Its double-action operation, ambidextrous manual controls, and 14+1 capacity make it suitable for duty, training, and defensive use. The stainless steel slide features front and rear cocking serrations, an external extractor, and a loaded chamber indicator, while three-dot night sights support aiming in low-light conditions. A rugged polymer frame includes two interchangeable backstraps, a lanyard eyelet, and a MIL-STD 1913 accessory rail for compatible lights and lasers.
