The FN FNS-40 Longslide is a striker-fired semi-automatic pistol developed for dependable range and defensive use. Its five-inch barrel provides an extended sight radius and supports consistent handling, while the .40 S&W chambering delivers proven service-pistol performance. The pistol features fully ambidextrous slide stop levers and magazine release controls, an interchangeable backstrap system, lanyard eyelets, a manual thumb safety, and standard three-dot sights. Three magazines are included for convenient range use.

I replaced a Glock 22...
I replaced a Glock 22 gen4 and was never so happy to get my FNH 40 S&W. The Glock 22 beat me to death. Granted, the barrel was just under 4" but the trigger safety was "hell" on my index finger. Yes, I use the end of my finger to shot with. Anyway, my new FNH was built very nice, it felt very natural in my hand. If the gun hadn't been a 40 cal, I would have sworn I was shooting a loud .22. This gun is probably one of the smoothest shooting pistols I have in my arsenal. I would definitely recommend this gun and the company representative was very helpful with my decision.
