The FN FNX-40 is a full-size semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W. Its hammer-fired operating system provides double-action capability for the first shot and single-action operation for subsequent shots. Ambidextrous manual safety and decocking controls accommodate either-handed use, while the ergonomic black polymer frame and checkered grip panels provide a secure hold. The pistol features a 4-inch hammer-forged stainless steel barrel, fixed standard sights, a loaded-chamber indicator, and a MIL-STD 1913 accessory rail. It accepts 14-round magazines and includes three magazines in the stated configuration.
