The FN FNX-45 is a full-size, hammer-fired .45 ACP pistol built around a durable polymer frame and cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel. Its double-action and single-action operating system provides a longer first trigger pull followed by a lighter single-action pull, while fully ambidextrous manual safety and decocking levers accommodate either hand. Fixed three-dot night sights support aiming in low-light conditions, and the MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail accepts compatible lights and lasers. Interchangeable backstraps help tailor the grip to the shooter's hand, while front and rear cocking serrations, a loaded chamber indicator, and an external extractor contribute to practical handling and status awareness.
