The FN SCAR semi-auto pistol is a gas-operated 5.56x45mm AR Pistol designed for compact PDW-style handling and reliability. It uses a short-stroke gas piston system with an adjustable low-flash gas regulator and features a 7.50 in cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined, free-floated barrel with a three-prong flash hider. The one-piece aluminum receiver includes Picatinny/MIL-STD 1913 rails for mounting optics and accessories, and the non-reciprocating charging handle can be used as a hand stop when locked forward.
