Extremely disappointed...

Extremely disappointed with the Fusion Reaction. After waiting years to find one in a store, so I could inspect the quality, and not finding one, I decided to finally order one sight unseen. I've seen all of Fusions marketing videos that boast about their quality parts and hand fit slide, frames, and barrels. Not sure I believe any of that now, based on the 1911 I received. This is by far the worst 1911 I have ever seen. The slide to frame fit is so sloppy, that it literally rattles when shaken.there is extreme play between the slide and frame when moved side to side, rotated in clockwise and counterclockwise directions, and vertically. When I lift up on the slide, there becomes a visible gap between the slide and dust cover of the frame, that I can see clean through it. There is some barrel slop, that is common in production 1911's, but the barrel feet are so grossly undercut, the slide stop pin doesn't even come close to touching the contour on the feet. The barrel is supported by nothing but the barrel link. Guess they'll never have to worry about barrel bump (when the feet have a high spot that puts pressure on the slide stop pin at a contact point). The dovetail slot for the rear sight, is so oversized, that daylight can be seen between the front of the sight and the dovetail cut, when looking at it from the side of the slide. In addition to all this, the thumb safety and slide stop have very sharp edges and are not blended into the frame at all. I'm a hobby gunsmith, and I'm always looking for a quality base gun to do a build on. Fusion is not that gun. I will never buy another one. Save your money and buy a Tisas instead. Much better quality than a Fusion, for a much lower price. Better yet, save up your money and buy a Dan Wesson, Less Baer or better. It's worth it.
