My first EAA/Girsan...
My first EAA/Girsan pistol. Again, great service from Buds. Extremely surprised and pleased with this pistol. Great design with very good workmanship. No failure to feed with factory new ammo. For the price, a very good option to consider. I have larger hands and this pistol is comfortable in my hand. Sights are good; no need to change. This version is not electronic sight ready, but other versions are if you want to put a red/green dot on it. Only draw back is that it comes with only one magazine. However, additional magazines are available through EAA/Girsan. This pistol is easy to take apart for cleaning. Nice feature is that the safety also serves to lock the slide back to assist with taking it apart. Very satisfied with the accuracy. Once familiar with the sights and pistol, I put ten rounds within a .50-cent piece and five rounds within a .25-cent piece. Overall, this is a very good pistol. With Bud's competitive pricing, even a better choice.

This model by Girsan...
This model by Girsan is what the original Browning Hi-power should have evolved to be! Almost every design and component is a step up from the original. Starting with the frame, the beavertail eliminates the slide bite issue. The mag well has slight bevels making mag insertion a bit easier. They took out the mag disconnect safety. The straight trigger breaks at 90 degrees with enough take up before the break to make it safe. Feels about 4-5 pounds before actuating.The controls are black, oversized and the safety is ambidextrous. The grips are very nice and feel great however I immediately swapped them for some pachmayer wraparound rubber grips that look better and make the grip sit perfect in the hand. The sights are accurate and did not need adjustment. 147gr ammo shot an inch left. 124 and 118gr ammo was dead on. No malfunctions of any kind with all FMJ an HP ammo tested. It seemed to like 124 the best, double punching holes was common. The shorter barrel is a great design. seems to be a chromed match barrel with a nice muzzle crown. This frame has no light rail up front but that means it will fit all your older BHP holsters. This model for the price beats out many more modern handguns. It shoots looks and breaks down better than a glock! Plus you get an all steel gun with all the aftermarket accessories available and a reliable timeless browning design. This one is an easy choice if you are looking for a hi-power clone. Do not be afraid of guns from Turkeye! I have other Girsan clones that have zero issues and are as durable as any American weapon.
