The Girsan MC1911 SC Ultimate is a compact .45 ACP 1911 pistol designed around a short 3.4-inch barrel and a single-action operating system. Its EAA-exclusive G10 composite grips provide a secure, textured hold and incorporate a visual capacity window. The pistol features a Blue/Black finish, a windowed magazine, cone barrel and slide lockup, an extended rounded ambidextrous thumb safety, and a long-hole hammer. Low-profile 3-dot iron sights support conventional aiming, while the included Far-Dot red dot sight and mounting plate provide an optic-ready setup for rapid target acquisition.

Let's start with this- I am not a huge .45ACP fan, especially for concealed work. This gun changed that opinion. Very concealable, with the right ammunition type: very carry-able (light, for a .45acp steel frame), and very smooth shooter. The trigger is crisp, the size is easy to manage with large hands, and the weight handles the recoil well. It is not that snappy. The optic is not to my expectation, I am a bit of a red dot snob for a duty carry/concealed platform. If I had to change one thing and one thing only, it would be the optic cut, which is doctor cut. Change that to RMR cut- you'd have one dynamite of a carry gun! Get one. You won't regret it. And carry G9 ammunition.
