Entire process made incredibly easy, thanks to Buds! Shipped quickly, was in possession in less than a week through my preferred FFL. This is my 2nd 1911, but first Girsan purchase. I'm extremely happy overall so far... It's a sharp looking piece... Actions are smooth... Have taken it to the range twice so far, have shot approximately 100 rounds through it with zero issues... Pretty nice Girsan...
Pretty nice Girsan extended Ambi safety Nice high sweat Beavertail very good barrel Backstrap checkering is aggressive front strap checkering is not aggressive and it doesn't cover the whole front strap. The red dot is a inexpensive one The milling on top of the slide was very nice Time will tell if it holds up and the settings stay put. Trigger was just a little gritty pull weight was 4.7lb. Finish was very nice Fit not so much it was a little loose. But I'm used to Kimber's The barrel bushing wasn't as tight as I thought it should be and the lock up of the barrel hood can be press down. So I added a full metal guide rod and a nice match bushing. That tightened it right up . All in all I'm happy with this firearm.

First of all let me...
First of all let me say that I have gotten numerous firearms from buds over the yrs and had no problems. Buds customer service is outstanding. That being said let's get on with the review. I usually wait to review until after the range visit. But for this review I haven't had a chance to go yet. However very impressed so far with this firearm. The slide is like butter. Akin to my Sig. The trigger seems like it's about 3-4 lbs which is very impressive. The trigger has front serrations but has NO adjustment screw. Trigger travel on this gun is non existent. The front serrations on the slide for me isn't enough to grip the way I want for a press check but I do have large hands. The gun itself is aesthetically pleasing to the eye except for the grips. They like cheap plastic grips, but do work well for this firearm. Grip has front and back stippling and a very long beaver-tail. The RMR that came with mine is an Advanced Optics. Don't know how well it will hold up but you can research it. Windage and elevation is adjustable by using a small flat tip screw driver which is included. Also included is the plate with a regular 3-dot rear sight in case you want to remove the RMR. For shits and giggles I Tried to adjust the RMR to see if I could co witness with the front sight but could not. By the way I also have the EAA GIR MC28SA OPTIC 9MM too. Why you ask, JUST BECAUSE.
