The Great Lakes Firearms GLFA 1911 is a Commander-size semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Its 4.25-inch steel barrel and steel frame provide the familiar balance and handling of the classic 1911 format, while the Blue/Black finish gives the pistol a traditional appearance. Fiber-optic sights provide a bright aiming reference in changing lighting conditions. The pistol uses an eight-round magazine with one additional round carried in the chamber and includes an ambidextrous manual safety along with the platform's grip safety.
